    Leeds Castle

After departing our pick-up point in South Kensington we will head straight to romantic and picture-perfect Leeds Castle, former home of many medieval queens and Henry VIII’s first wife Catherine of Aragon. The lavish palace was more recently used as a party destination for celebrities including JFK and Errol Flynn.
Sitting on islands amid a large lake, the castle is one of the most beautiful and most visited in Britain. Highlights include the vast estate and gardens with their hedge maze and aviary, Henry VIII’s banqueting hall with ebony floor and Queen Eleanor’s medieval bathroom.

Finally we will travel to Canterbury. This beautiful town is a joy to explore, full of pretty medieval streets, ancient walls and riverside gardens. We will discover the incredible gothic wonder that is Canterbury Cathedral. This World Heritage Site covers 1400 years of history and is brimming with stories and legends, including the murder of Thomas Becket. Memorials commemoration battles fill the building, alongside the grave of infamous warmonger Edward the Black Prince.

      Dover & Castle
Our next stop will be Dover. We will view the iconic white cliffs, a world-famous signpost for travellers leaving from and arriving into Britain. We will also discover the 800 year old Dover castle, which stands guard over the town and has served as a historically important defensive fort in many wars. Check out the Secret Wartime Tunnels, built in the Napoleonic Wars and used as a command post in WWII.
